# Index product film — first draft

**Working length:** 75 seconds

**Format:** 16:9 master, with 9:16 and 1:1 crops planned from the same footage

**Tone:** Calm, intelligent, tactile. Fast enough to feel useful; never frantic.

**Primary promise:** Save anything. Think with everything.

## Storyboard and voiceover

### 0:00–0:05 — The problem

**Picture:** A clean Mac desktop. Safari, Messages, Notes, and a research PDF overlap for a moment. The cursor pauses over a useful paragraph, then the windows drift apart as if the thought is about to disappear.

**On-screen copy:** `Your best context is everywhere.`

**Voiceover:** “The best ideas rarely arrive in the app where you need them.”

### 0:05–0:15 — Capture without breaking focus

**Picture:** In Safari, the user finds a useful article. They tap Command twice. The active window gives a subtle pulse; the Index confirmation appears in the top-right: `Added to Index`. Show the captured URL, screenshot context, and generated summary assembling quietly in the background.

**On-screen copy:** `⌘  ⌘  — capture the moment`

**Voiceover:** “With Index, two taps of Command save the page, the source, and the context on your screen.”

### 0:15–0:24 — Keep the reason

**Picture:** On a different page, the user taps Command three times. The compact Index note field appears over the current app. They type: `Use this for the onboarding rewrite.` and press Command–Return. A confirmation toast replaces the composer.

**On-screen copy:** `Add why it matters.`

**Voiceover:** “Add a third tap when you want to keep the thought behind the link.”

### 0:24–0:34 — Save from iPhone

**Picture:** Match cut to iPhone. A TikTok, Safari article, or message is shared to Index. The share sheet shows the Index icon, followed by the compact note field. The user adds: `A strong example for our launch.` and saves.

**On-screen copy:** `Share from any app.`

**Voiceover:** “On iPhone, share from the apps you already use. Add a note—or save it in one tap.”

### 0:34–0:46 — A useful personal index

**Picture:** Mac and iPhone memories flow into the same calm library. Open one memory to show its source, summary, personal context, and related ideas. Edit one line and save it.

**On-screen copy:** `Links become usable context.`

**Voiceover:** “Index turns scattered saves into an organized, editable layer of context that follows your work.”

### 0:46–1:04 — Think with everything

**Picture:** Open Chat and type: `Based on everything I saved this week, what should change in our onboarding?` The answer streams in with a concise recommendation and visible source citations. Click a citation to open the supporting memory.

**On-screen copy:** `Discuss the full picture.`

**Voiceover:** “Then ask the questions that require the full picture. Index answers from your own sources, cites what it used, and helps the thinking continue.”

### 1:04–1:13 — The payoff

**Picture:** Return to the desktop. The apps recede while the Index mark remains. Three short phrases appear one at a time.

**On-screen copy:**

1. `Capture without breaking focus.`
2. `Remember why it mattered.`
3. `Think across everything.`

**Voiceover:** “Less collecting. Less searching. More useful thinking.”

### 1:13–1:18 — Close

**Picture:** Index icon, product name, and a restrained violet glow. End on Mac and iPhone together.

## Production notes

- Capture the product at native Retina resolution; record Mac at 60 fps and iPhone at 60 fps.
- Keep private or personally identifying content out of every source and screenshot.
- Use one believable through-line—improving a product onboarding—instead of unrelated demo data.
- Let the actual confirmation toast, quick-capture composer, share extension, editable memory, and cited chat answer carry the film. Avoid fake UI.
- Sound design should emphasize the two- and three-Command gestures, the save confirmation, and the transition from capture to chat.
- Compose each shot with a central safe area so the master can be cropped into vertical social cuts.
- Cut a second 25-second version from 0:05–0:15, 0:24–0:34, 0:46–1:04, and the final title card.
